Finding Value beneath the Surface

History

Sea Hawk Business Innovation was incorporated in Vancouver, Canada in March, 2017. The Company's goal is to help small to medium sized businesses become more efficient, more profitable and more valuable.  This can involve implementing information and communication technology so that management, staff and customers have the tools and information they need, where they need it and when they need it. It always involves a desire and commitment by management and staff to become better. We also help owners make the transition from doing the work to managing the work.

Greg Steer

Senior Analyst

Greg's analytic and management expertise was acquired over the past 35 years creating, leading and improving organisations in the private and public sectors ranging in size from small 15 employee private companies to large 10,000 employee government departments. He has experience throughout the business lifecyle, leading organisations from startup, through expansion and reorganisations, and finally to sale. Having held executive positions on the business side and on the information technology side, he can effectively bridge the two.

Greg's areas of expertise include enterprise business architecture and business design, performance management, project and change management, and quantitative methods (statistics, simulation modelling) applied to business problems. He's used these tools to address a wide range of business problems, from optimising resource utilisation in a 3-person field crew to increasing value for money of a $30M government program. Enterprise business architecture and other change management tools provide rationale frameworks within which progress can be made at a tolerable pace. In other words, you eat a moose one steak at a time.

His management style has always been to coach. Recently out of an engagement as president of a small company, Greg founded Sea Hawk Business Innovation with the goal of helping ownership and management make their businesses better and helping them become better businessmen, businesswomen and managers.
